The Audi A6 is a precision performance vehicle manufactured in Neckarsulm, Germany by Audi AG. A facelift for the A6 series, Audi’s 2016 model is the perfect example of German engineering at it’s finest. Offering front and all wheel drive, the A6 scored 5 stars on its safety tests.
Known for it’s eye catching designs, Audi didn’t fail to impress when creating the latest A6. The 2016 sedan sports a raised trim level alongside interior upgrades. Spacious and comfortable, The A6 is complimented by a supercharged 3.0 liter V6 engine. With 333 hp, the A6 can reach speeds of 155 mph and goes from 0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds. The base model comes with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, which has a 6.7 second 0-60. It is also offered in a Turbo-diesel V6, reaching 60 mph in just 5.5 seconds.
Albeit the impressive 0-60, the Audi A6’s strongest feature is its seamless acceleration.
The Audi A6 was developed in 1994 as an executive style car. Taking over for it’s predecessor, the Audi 100, Audi’s A6 is in its fourth generation.
Lifespan: 1994- 1997
The C4 models were safe, and (for their time) fast.
This was the first high quality version of the A6, putting it on par with BMW’s 5 Series, and the Mercedes Benz E Class.
This version was lengthened to 4,927 millimetres (194.0 in), and upgraded into Audi “single-frame grille”
Lifespan: 2011- Present
This version of the A6 increased its wheelbase by nearly 3 inches (76 mm) and its width by 0.7 inches (18 mm). The redesign also decreased the car’s drag coefficient to 0.26 Cd.
The C7 is heavily influenced by the Audi A8, pulling elements from its exterior. It also shares its interior, platform, and Modular Longitudinal Platform with the Audi A7. In comparison to the A8 and A7, the A6 has more aggressive front fascia and LED headlights.

With the A6’s class-leading design and Quattro all wheel drive, who wins out? The Audi A6. Why? Value and pricing. In terms of overall quality and performance, the Audi A6 is typically equal to or better than its luxury sedan rivals. That being said, it is offered at a significantly lower price point and thus gives you the best bang for your buck.
